NCT leader Taeyong is the new face of Loewe, and the pairing makes total sense. Taeyong, who is known for his love of fashion, his ever-changing hair color, and his creative, adventurous style, is a big fan of the Spanish fashion house and has frequently worn their designs to events and runway shows alike.
“A new global ambassadorship—LOEWE and TAEYONG are pleased to announce the start of an exciting new journey together,” the brand shared on Instagram alongside a photo of Taeyong in a red and pink polka dot polo sweater jacket, black trousers, and boots.
Both parties are equally thrilled about the partnership. “We love his idiosyncratic style,” Loewe creative director Jonathan Anderson told WWD. “With Taeyong’s many talents spanning songwriting, performing and visual creation, I’m really excited to see what this collaboration will bring.”
“I’ve been a huge fan of Loewe, not only for the designs, but also for the brand’s philosophy and unique way of communicating,” Taeyong shared. Taeyong joins an extremely chic group of fellow ambassadors, including actor Taylor Russell and K- pop group NMIXX. The brand has exploded in popularity with celebrities over the past few years; everyone from Jennifer Lawrence to Zendaya has worn Loewe on the red carpet, and the line’s chic yet playful pieces with a surrealist wink are becoming mainstays of fashion week, street style, and on TikTok and Instagram too.
Taeyong’s first big appearance as a global ambassador will be at the brand’s spring 2024 menswear show on June 24 in Paris, and we can’t wait to see all his Loewe looks in the future.
